Try the Sight Simulator to see what it’s like to be blind

The injustice is that most of these problems were avoidable or are completely treatable with proper access to quality eye care – a luxury that millions of Americans don’t have. That’s why we’ve updated the See Now Sight Simulator to allow you to use the camera in your smartphone, tablet or laptop to see what some of the most common vision problems really look like.

According to the World Health Organization, 4 out of 5 people around the world are unnecessarily blind or visually impaired. These conditions disproportionately affect women, minorities and our poorest communities. That’s why See Now is building a global movement to end avoidable blindness – but we need you help spread the word.

Experiencing vision problems and blindness for ourselves is the first step to understanding how millions of Americans live everyday. The next step is to take simple actions to raise awareness and lobby your elected representatives to increase access for all Americans to quality eye care. See Now makes this possible when you sign up to join the campaign.

For now, we hope you can experience the Sight Simulator and share with your loved ones during the festive season. From the See Now team, we wish you a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
